Cognitive behavioral Therapy (CBT) – is a form of psychotherapy that emphasizes the important role of thinking about how we feel and what we do. The benefit of CBT supports how we can change the way we think feel/act better even if the situation does not change.
Motivational Interviewing (MI) – is a directive therapeutic style which is used to enhance one’s readiness for change by helping clients explore and resolve ambivalence. Compared with non-directive counseling, it’s more focused and goal-directed.
Individual Therapy – is used to explore feelings, beliefs, or behaviors. It works through challenging influential memories, in which one can identify what aspect of their lives they would like to change. One develops a better understanding of themselves and others, learn how to set personal goals, and work toward a desired change.
Group Therapy – is often helpful for people to no longer feel alone. It is used to receive validation and support while being honest. There are a number of groups are facilitated in English and Spanish. Please see our Group Therapy descriptions.
